Allyson Felix

Allyson Melissa Felix was birthed in Los Angeles, California on November 18, 1985. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister ordained at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a teacher of primary schools in Balboa Magnet. Felix discovered early that she was gifted for running when attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. At her first attempt and placing among the top two athletes in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships, for 200-meter sprint in only 10 weeks. Felix agreed to sign a contract with Adidas for an official career at Adidas in 2003. She after that she enrolled at University of Southern California to pursue a degree in elementary education. Felix won her first Olympic gold medal during the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record running 200 meters for 22.18. She was the youngest winner of the 200 meters in the world championships held in Helsinki in 2005. She won her medal the following year, by beating long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix took part in her first Olympics at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo always finishing in the top three places in all her races.
