Britney Jean Spears

Britney Jean Spears was born the 2nd of December 1981 in McComb, Mississippi & raised in Kentwood, Louisiana. Britney had dance lessons when she was a child and was a great gymnast. She was a winner of numerous contests. But, more than anything, Britney loved to sing. Britney was a candidate for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) at age eight. She was rejected due to her young age. Britney was then suggested to Broadway's off-Broadway musical "Ruthless" in which she played the lead role for two years. At the age of 11, she was back on stage for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989). It was a different time, she played one of the mouseketeers along with other stars of today, Justin Timberlake and JC Chasez (*NSYNC) and Ryan Gosling. The biggest break for her, however, was when she was signed as Jive Recording Artists in the latter part of the 1990s. Britney was an enormous success following the release of her debut album "...Baby one more time" in 1999. The album sold 13 million copies (as as of July 2001) of her follow-up album "Oops !...I did it Again" which was released in May 2000. Britney was the daughter of Lynne Spears & Jamie Spears and she has a large brother named Bryan Spears & a little sister, Jamie Lynn Spears. Britney was the daughter of Madonna, Mariah Carey, and Whitney Houston, was always determined to be a star. Britney auditioned for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989-1994) on TV at age 8. But she was not old enough for the role. Britney and her infant sister Britney, moved to New York, where she played in a variety of TV commercials and an off Broadway show called "Ruthless", under the guidance by Natalie Portman. The love for dance and music grew and two years later, she auditioned again for part in "Mickey Mouse" again and, this time, she was awarded the role with Christina Aguilera and Justin Timberlake.
