Emma Watson
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was born in Paris, France, to British parents, Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson, both lawyers. The couple was moved to Oxfordshire when she was five years old, and attended the Dragon School. Emma realized when she was six that she was going to be an actor. Over the course of several years, she studied at the Oxford Stagecoach Theatre Arts branch in which she was taught singing, dancing, acting and much more. She was a stagecoach actor and was the role of lead in various Stagecoach productions. In 1999, casting began for Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2001) it was the movie adaptation of British author J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel. Casting agents stumbled upon Emma through her Oxford theatre instructor. After eight continuous auditions David Heyman informed Emma and Rupert Grint that they were selected to play Hermione Granger and Harry Potter. Emma's first appearance on the screen was with the release Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in 2001. It was also the most popular film of the year in terms of weekend and opening day sales. The film's performances as well as those of its three stars received praise from reviewers. The Daily Telegraph, a British newspaper widely published, described Emma's performance as "admirable." Emma was awarded five more times for her performance in the film, including the Young Artist Award, for Leading Young Actress In the Film. Film.
